This chapter will help you better understand how to set up your filters. For each filter type available in the Audience editor, you will find below a detailed description of all the editable fields as well as all the possible inputs and their meaning.

Preferred Language

This filter will allow you to refine your audience according to the configured language.

Interactions :

Location

This filter will allow you to track in which country the session occurred

This information is not related to GPS tracking. We determine approximate locations based on the first digits of the user’s IP address

App version

This filter allows you to know which version of the mobile application is used

Interactions :

OS version

This filter allows you to know which version of the operating system is set on your user’s device

Interactions :

Device Type

This filter allows you to select what types of devices you want to have in your audience

Interactions :

Device model

This filter allows you to select what devices models you want to have in your audience

Note that this filter is one of those that will have to be configured for iOS and Android if you create an audience based on the populations of your 2 Live apps.

Interactions :

Device ID

This filter allows you to define your audience based on a list of Bryj device identifiers (Device ID). This filter can be used mostly for testing purposes.

Opt-in / Opt-out

This filter allows you to filter your audience based on user consent for data collection and/or receiving push notifications.

Interactions :

This filter lets you combine with an AND condition (2 blocks maximum)

One push related condition AND one analytics condition can be combined. A “AND” condition automatically applies if the two blocks are set.
Example: users that are opt-in for push notifications but opt-out analytics

Users logged-in

This filter allows you to define your audience among users who have already logged in to their accounts, meaning a user identifier has been set.

This filter allows you to include users in your audience based on when they last used your app

Install date

This filter allows you to include users in your audience based on when they launch their application for the first time

In 99% of cases, users will launch their application after installing it. That’s why we call this filter “Install Date”!

Events

This filter will allow you add criteria on your tagging plan event that the members of your audience triggered

Attributes

This filter will allow you to include users with a particular status defined by their attributes in your audience.

For BUILD customers: Contact your CSM if you would like to add an event to your app.
For GROW-only subscribers: Check our usage guides to know more about how to log events.

Interactions :

1st choice – attribute selector

Attribute type – The selector will adapt according to the type of the selected attribute

Campaigns

This filter will allow you to filter your audience based on interactions with your in-app messages and push notification campaigns.

Interactions :

The options available will adapt according to campaign format and delivery options :

Format :

If it’s a push campaign

If it’s an In-app campaign

Delivery options :

If it’s a “one-time” campaign

The results will be filtered between the campaign start DateTime and the DateTime until the campaign is valid + 12 hours.

If it’s a “reccuring” campaign

You will need to use the date selector to filter the results :

Crashes

This filter will allow you to filter your audience according to users who have encountered crashes or not during a given period
